Sustainable Schools

Twelve Tasmanian schools have made a commitment to becoming more environmentally friendly.
The Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative (AuSSI) is a partnership between the Department of Education, the Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment and the Federal Department of Environment and Water Resources.

Healthy Food Expo

Claremont High School recently hosted a Healthy Food Expo.
The expo consisted of activities, educational experiences and competitions - all with an emphasis on enjoying healthy foods.
Graeme had the honour of hosting the competition between Tassie Devil football personalities and Tassie Tigers cricketers, to see who could make the best omlette.

Claremont Primary School

On Friday May 11 Graeme attended Claremont Primary School’s Aussie of the Month Assembly.
The Signing, Infant and Senior Choirs all sang beuatifully and Graeme gave a speech about the importance of being a part of a community.

Relay for Life

On Febraury 24, Graeme attended the Opening Ceremony for the Cancer Council’s annual Relay for Life.
Graeme joined students from Guilford Young College and presented their team with a cheque from the Premier and one from himself.

Goodwood Primary School

February 26th, 2007

On Thursday 22 February, Graeme visited Goodwood Primary School and toured the redevelopment works that are underway there.
Graeme met with the Principal of Goodwood Primary, Mr Shaun Pearce.
Mr Pearce and the Prep class showed Graeme around the works.
